2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create or use a Cinny account.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian may need to review or agree to these Terms or authorize your use of certain aspects of the Service where required by applicable law.
If applicable law does not permit you to use Cinny or to enter into these Terms, you may not use the Service.
You must provide truthful information concerning your eligibility to use Cinny.
We may suspend or terminate an account if we reasonably believe that it is being used by someone who does not meet applicable age or legal requirements.
3. Accounts
You may create an account using supported authentication methods, which may include email and password, Google, or Apple.
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate account information
- keeping your account information reasonably up to date
- protecting your login credentials
- activities performed through your account

You may not impersonate another person, misrepresent your identity, or create an account for abusive, deceptive, fraudulent, or unlawful purposes.
4. Profiles and Privacy
Cinny includes public and private profile functionality.
Accounts are public by default.
Depending on your settings, information such as your username, name, biography, profile picture, number of watched movies and TV shows, watched movies and TV shows, watchlist, ratings, and reviews may be visible to other people.
You may make your profile private. When a profile is private, other users generally need to request to follow the account and be accepted before accessing follower-restricted profile activity.
Cinny may provide separate audience controls for individual content such as reviews. For example, a review may be private, visible to followers, or public.
You are responsible for reviewing your privacy and audience settings before publishing content.
We cannot guarantee that another person will not copy, screenshot, save, or redistribute information they were permitted to view.
5. User Content
You may be able to create or provide content through Cinny, including reviews, ratings, profile information, biographies, usernames, and profile images ("User Content").
You retain ownership of User Content that you own.
By making User Content available through Cinny, you grant Codesquare AB a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, format, display, and distribute that User Content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, secure, promote, and improve Cinny and to display the content according to the audience settings you select.
This license ends when the relevant User Content is deleted, except to the extent continued processing is technically necessary for a limited period, required by law, or otherwise permitted under these Terms.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit User Content and permit Codesquare AB to process it as described in these Terms.

10. Third-Party Movie and TV Show Information
Cinny obtains certain movie, TV show, image, and related information from third-party sources, including TMDB.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Third-party information may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unavailable.
Codesquare AB does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, availability, release dates, credits, images, descriptions, availability information, or other third-party information displayed through Cinny.
Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Cinny or Codesquare AB's intellectual property to you.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use Cinny for its intended purposes.
Movie and TV show artwork, posters, information, trademarks, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
12. Feedback
If you voluntarily send us suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or other feedback about Cinny, you allow us to use that feedback without restriction or obligation to compensate you, provided that this does not transfer ownership of unrelated intellectual property or personal data to us.
13. Notifications
Cinny may send notifications that you enable, including notifications relating to account activity, follows, reminders, ratings, recommendations, or other Cinny features.
You can manage available notification preferences through Cinny and your device settings.
Delivery of notifications is not guaranteed and may depend on third-party services, your device, operating system, internet connection, and notification settings.
14. Free Service and Future Paid Features
Cinny is currently available without a paid subscription.
We may introduce optional paid subscriptions, premium functionality, or other paid products in the future.
Before you purchase a paid product, we will provide applicable information about pricing, billing frequency, automatic renewal where applicable, cancellation, and other material purchase terms.
Additional terms may apply to paid features.
Purchases made through Apple, Google, or another platform may also be subject to that platform's payment, cancellation, and refund rules.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights available to you under applicable law.
15. Changes to Cinny
Cinny is under active development.
We may modify, add, replace, suspend, or discontinue features or parts of the Service.
We will take applicable legal requirements into account when making material changes.
We do not guarantee that any particular feature will remain available permanently.
16. Account Deletion
You may delete your Cinny account using the functionality available in Cinny or through our website.
Account deletion removes your active account and associated user data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to information that we are legally entitled or required to retain.
Deleting your account terminates your right to use that account.
17. Termination by Codesquare AB
We may suspend or terminate your access to Cinny if:
- you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms
- your account presents a security risk
- you use Cinny unlawfully or abusively
- we are legally required to do so
- continuing to provide the account would create a substantial risk of harm to Cinny, Codesquare AB, our users, or third parties
Where appropriate and legally required, we may provide notice or an opportunity to appeal.
18. Third-Party Services
Cinny depends on third-party services and infrastructure.
We are not responsible for third-party services that are outside our reasonable control, and we cannot guarantee that they will always remain available.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies provided by those third parties.
19. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable Service, but Cinny may occasionally be interrupted, unavailable, delayed, or affected by errors.
To the extent permitted by law, Cinny is provided on an "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability of particular content, or that the Service will always be free from bugs or errors.
We may perform maintenance or make technical changes that temporarily affect availability.
20. Disclaimer of Warranties
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to those mandatory rights, Codesquare AB does not make guarantees regarding:

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codesquare AB will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar losses arising from your use of Cinny where such liability may lawfully be excluded.
We are not responsible for losses caused solely by:
- third-party services outside our reasonable control
- inaccurate third-party movie or TV show information
- another user's unauthorized conduct
- your failure to secure your account
- circumstances outside our reasonable control
These limitations do not affect mandatory consumer rights and do not exclude liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability arising from intentional misconduct or other liability that applicable law requires us to bear.
22. Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer, you may have mandatory rights under the laws of the country where you live.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive, restrict, or exclude rights that cannot legally be waived, restricted, or excluded.
In particular, users in the European Union and European Economic Area may have mandatory consumer protections that apply regardless of provisions in these Terms.
23. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the Cinny Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy forms an important part of understanding how Cinny operates, but consent to optional personal data processing is requested separately where required by law.
24. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Cinny, applicable law, security requirements, or our business.
If changes are material, we may provide reasonable notice through Cinny, our website, email, or another appropriate method.
Where applicable law requires your consent to a change, we will request it.
The "Last updated" date at the top shows when these Terms were most recently revised.
Your continued use of Cinny after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
25. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the laws of your country of residence where those protections apply regardless of this choice.
We encourage you to contact us first if you have a concern so that we can attempt to resolve it.
Disputes may be brought before competent Swedish courts, subject to any mandatory right you have as a consumer to bring proceedings in another competent jurisdiction.
Consumers may also have access to applicable consumer dispute resolution bodies under national law.
26. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
27. No Waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we waive our right to enforce it later.
